This recipe came from Donna's mother, but Teresa gave it to Genevieve. Teresa used to always make it with that rice pilaf you get in a box and string beans. Don't ask me why. | |
| 4 boneless chicken breast halves flour 1/4 c butter or oil sauce: 1/3 c teriyaki sauce juice from 1 lemon 2-3 cloves minced garlic 1/2 t sugar | Cut chicken breasts into strips. Roll each strip of chicken in flour to coat. Mix together sauce ingredients. Put butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden brown on one side and then turn over and cook until golden brown on the other side (about 3 minutes/side). Remove chicken, cool down pan somewhat, and add sauce and chicken to pan. Simmer 3 minutes, turning the chicken occasionally so the sauce can coat it. |
| "Pilaf in a String? That makes no sense."
